Why can't I log in?
There are several reasons why you might be experiencing difficulties with logging in. In the first instance, please check the following steps:
- Have you previously created an account with GPnotebook?
- If you have not previously created an account on GPnotebook, then you first need to create one before you can log in.
- You can create an account by navigating to the GPnotebook homepage and pressing the "Register" button.
- If you have recently created your account, have you verified your email address?
- After completing the registration form, you should see a message indicating that your account has been successfully created and that an email with a verification link has been sent to your email address to verify your account.
- Clicking the verification link in the email will verify your account and you should see the following message inviting you to log in:
- If you did not receive the verification email within 5–10 minutes of creating your account, or if you need a new verification email, you can request one at: https://users.om-systems.net/verify/resend
- Have you forgotten your password?
- If you are trying to log in with the incorrect password, you will see the following error message:
- You can reset your password by following the steps outlined in the "How do I reset my password?" article linked below.
- If you have already reset your password, but see an error message that your credentials to not match our records, please see the "Why do I see a credentials error after resetting my password?" article linked below.
- Are you trying to log in via Univadis?
- You can no longer log in to GPnotebook via Univadis.
- Please see the article linked below entitled "Can I still use Univadis to access GPnotebook?"
- If you have previously created an account and are now not able to log in, have you tried using an "Incognito" window or similar?
- Sometimes, problems with logging in can be caused by issues with cookies (small data files that your web browser downloads from websites and stores on your computer).
- One way to see if a cookie issue is preventing you from logging in is to try accessing the site in a private or "incognito" window.
- Most browsers enable you to browse the web privately, whereby the browser won't save your browsing history, cookies or site data, or information entered in forms.
- The following articles explain how to enable incognito/private browsing:
- Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464
- Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/browse-inprivate-in-microsoft-edge-e6f47704-340c-7d4f-b00d-d0cf35aa1fcc
- Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/private-browsing-use-firefox-without-history
- Safari: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/safari/ibrw1069/mac
- If you find that you can log in when browsing in private mode, then this suggests that there is a conflict with cookies or similar, and we would recommend clearing your browser's cookies and cache to enable you to log in again in future.
